Koopmans were recommended by a firm of leading solicitors to provide a pre-acquisition management survey of this commercial building, with the view of the client to redevelop the building into luxury apartments.

Having provided a report within 48 hours of inspecting we were subsequently appointed to manage the building from acquisition and worked with the client to secure vacant possession of the property.

Post completion of the development, we have been appointed to manage the property long term.

Our fashion designer client wanted to acquire a property on Savile Row due to its prestige and synonymous links to the suit trade.

Koopmans identified potential opportunities and successfully acquired this multi-let asset on behalf of the client. Over the years we have undertaken numerous lettings and lease renewals and have also undertaken both internal and external majors works to keep this Grade II listed building in good condition. We manage the property day-to-day and are now considering future strategy when leases expire.

We acquired 10 Albemarle Street on behalf of a group of UK private investors with the view of exceptional retail growth due to its very close proximity to Old Bond Street. There was also the opportunity to refurbish and re-let the office upper parts, and Koopmans oversaw the works and the leasing.

As we asset managed this property for many years we became aware that the adjoining building, 11 Albemarle Street, could be purchased. Whilst a different specification of building, this opportunity would provide some marriage value as the property could be enhanced from a single core which would enable our retail tenant to expand and by adding a 2 bedroom penthouse by moving old plant. We acted on the purchase and the refurbishment and leasing of the offices.

Our continued involvement in this property is the day to day and asset management.

CASE STUDY

Koopmans were tasked by a UK investor to locate a freehold office investment in SE1. We identified this Grade II* listed property within the immediate vicinity of The Shard and acquired this vacant property with the intention of refurbishment and re-letting for a long-term hold.

We co-ordinated the refurbishment and then leased the property. We continue to asset manage this on behalf of the client and through our involvement with our neighbours have also been retained to manage St Thomas Church next door which consists of a stunning bar, The Old Operating Theatre Museum and Herb Garret and highly unique apartment in the Bell Tower.
